Animal Heros: Razorfish

A landmark medical study in the development of personalized cancer therapies using zebrafish “avatars,” revolutionized the ability to test drug efficacy quickly and accurately for individual patients. After being injected with colorectal tumor cells, these zAvatars were then exposed to various chemotherapies, allowing doctors to see which treatments most effectively reduced cancer in the fish and, consequently, to predict which therapy would work best for the patient. The test demonstrated 91% accuracy in predicting patient response to chemotherapy.

Sponsorship

Sponsorship is a highly visible form of support for NESBR and its work. It builds goodwill with your colleagues and the community. Several NESBR events each year provide sponsor and sponsor-exhibitor opportunities. They are:

  • The Laboratory Animal Enrichment Symposium
  • The NESBR Annual Meeting of Members
  • Biomedical Research Day
  • The NESBR Vendor Fair
  • The Annual Student Competition

All sponsors and sponsor-exhibitors are gratefully acknowledged in program materials, at the programs themselves and often in promotional mailings, website announcements, and pre- and post-program mailings. We offer several levels of sponsorship for each program. If you’d like to learn more about a specific NESBR program and its sponsor and exhibitor opportunities, please call the NESBR office at: 978-251-1556.
